Terms and Conditions for Anonymous Friend

Welcome to Anonymous Friend, an anonymous emotionalsupport application operated by ANONYMOUS FRIEND Limited Liability Company (LLC), a company registered in Armenia with registration number 273.110.1472539, legal entity code 55599610, taxpayer registration number 02931139, established in 2025 ("we," "us," or "our").
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Anonymous Friend mobile application ("App") and related services. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms, which incorporate our policies on marketing consent, biometric data consent, general data consent, cookie policy, and End User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These Terms are designed to comply with applicable laws in the EU, UAE, USA, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, including GDPR (EU), PDPL (UAE), CCPA/CPRA (USA), PIPL (China), DPDPA (India), PDP Law (Indonesia), APPI (Japan), PIPA (South Korea), PDPA (Malaysia), PDPA (Thailand), and PDPA (Singapore). They are inspired by industry-standard agreements for dating and social support apps, adapted for our unique features, including anonymous chats, user roles (Seekers and Friends), identity verification, and monetization.
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and ANONYMOUS FRIEND LLC. They apply to all Users, including Seekers (users seeking emotional support) and Friends (verified listeners providing support).
1.2. Before using the App, you must read these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable rules. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
1.3. We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of changes via the App or email. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
2.1. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the App. If you are under 18, you may not use the App unless verifiable parental consent is provided where required (e.g., India DPDPA Sec. 9).
2.2. Friends must complete identity verification as described in Section 5 to provide support services.

3. User Roles and Services
3.1. Seekers: You may access an initial 5-minute anonymous chat without registration. After 5 minutes, registration via email or phone number is required to continue or start new cs. You can select preferences for matchmaking (location, language, interests, age).
3.2. Friends: You must register and pass identity verification (passport/ID and selfie) to listen and offer emotional support. Verified Friends receive a badge and can be added to favorites by Seekers.
3.3. Chats are one-on-one, anonymous (no real names or personal photos allowed), with timers (30 minutes standard, extendable). You can end chats at any time. The App uses visual anonymization masks in the user interface.
3.4. The App is for voluntary emotional support only. We are not responsible for conversation outcomes and do not provide medical, psychological, or legal advice. A mandatory exit/timeout pop-up will display: “Anonymous Friend is an anonymous emotional support platform. All communication is voluntary and emotional in nature. The App is not responsible for the consequences of conversations and does not provide medical, , or legal services.” Display logs are stored in the backend.
3.5. Avatars and Nicknames: You can upload avatars from your gallery or use in-app masks; nicknames must be characters
4. Registration and Account
4.1. Seekers register via email or phone number. Friends require mandatory registration and identity verification.
4.2. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and maintaining account security (e.g., password confidentiality). Notify us at info@anonymousfriend.llc of any unauthorized use or security breach.
4.3. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or applicable laws, with notice where required.
5. Identity Verification for Friends
5.1. Friends must submit a passport/ID photo and a selfie for verification. This data is used solely for verification purposes, processed securely with end-to-end encryption (AES256+), and stored or shared with third parties only in cases required by law, in compliance with GDPR Art. 9, PIPL Art. 28, DPDPA Sec. 6, and PDPL Art. 3.
5.2. Verification ensures safety and authenticity in emotional support roles.
6. Monetization and Payments
6.1. Features such as chat extensions, advanced matchmaking filters, priority matchmaking, enhanced profiles, access to feedback, customization, anonymous gifts, reactions, and stickers are available via in-app purchases or subscriptions.
6.2. Payments are processed through Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Stripe.
efunds are subject to our refund policy and applicable laws (e.g., EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, 14-day cooling-off period for EU users).
6.3. Pricing and terms are displayed in the App purchase. All payments are final unless otherwise required by law.
7. User Conduct and Content
7.1. You agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal harassment, spam, or any form of abuse.
- Disclose personal information (e.g., real names, addresses, photos) in chats, violating our anonymity policy.
- Upload
- Impersonate or misuse the verification process.
- ttempt to bypass technical protections or disrupt the App.
7.2. We may monitor chats for compliance with these Terms and use reporting/blocking systems based on device ID or IP address to ensure safety.
7.3. Content License: By uploading content (e.g., avatars, nicknames), you grant ANONYMOUS FRIEND LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable license to use, store, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the App’s services (e.g., displaying your avatar or nickname in chats). This license does not transfer ownership, and you retain all rights to your content. The license terminates when you delete your content or account, subject to any legal retention obligations.
7.4. You are responsible for your content and interactions. We may remove content or suspend accounts for violations.
8. Intellectual Property and End User License Agreement (EULA)
8.1. The App, including its design, code, user interface, avatars, and other content, is owned by ANONYMOUS FRIEND LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws in all applicable jurisdictions.
8.2. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on a compatible device.
8.3. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App.
- Use the App for commercial purposes without our written consent.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
8.4. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by ANONYMOUS FRIEND LLC.
9. General Data Consent
9.1.
By using the App, you consent to the collection, processing, storage, and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, including but not limited to email, phone number, IP address, device ID, location, interests, age, and chat preferences for providing services (e.g., matchmaking, chat functionality).
9.. Data is processed to deliver the App’s services, improve user experience, and comply with legal obligations (e.g., GDPR Art. 6, PIPL Art. 13, DPDPA Sec. 5).
9.. You may withdraw consent at any time via App settings or by contacting info@anonymousfriend.llc, subject to legal or contractual restrictions (e.g., data needed for active subscriptions).
10. Biometric Data Consent
10.1. If you register as a Friend, you explicitly consent to the processing of biometric data (selfie with passport/ID) for identity verification purposes.
10.2. Biometric data is encrypted using AES256+, processed only once for verification, and stored or shared with third parties only in cases required by law, in compliance with GDPR Art. 9, PIPL Art. 28, DPDPA Sec. 6, PDPL Art. 3, and other applicable laws.
10.3. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn via info@anonymousfriend.llc, but withdrawal will prevent access to Friend features.
10.4. We implement strict security measures to protect biometric data during processing.
11. Marketing Consent
11.1. By using the App, you consent to receiving marketing communications, including emails, push notifications, or in-app messages about features, promotions, or updates.
11.2. Marketing consent is optional. You can opt out at any time via App settings or by contacting info@anonymousfriend.llc. Opting out does not affect your ability to use core App services.
11.3. We comply with applicable marketing laws (e.g., EU ePrivacy Directive, Singapore PDPA Art. 43).
12. Cookie Policy
12.1. The App uses cookies and similar technologies (e.g., pixels, trackers) to enable functionality, personalize experiences (e.g., matchmaking based on preferences), analyze performance, and deliver targeted advertising where applicable.
12.2. Types of Cookies:
- Essential Cookies: Necessary for App operation (e.g., session management).
- Performance Cookies: Collect anonymized analytics (e.g., usage patterns).
- Functional Cookies: Enable preferences (e.g., language, matchmaking filters).
- Targeting Cookies: Used for personalized ads (if applicable).
12.3. By using the App, you consent to the use of essential cookies. You can manage non-essential cookies via App settings or device settings, as required by the EU ePrivacy Directive, CCPA §1798.120, PIPL Art. 13, and other laws.
12.4. Third-party services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase) may use cookies; their policies apply. You can opt out of targeting cookies where supported.

13. Security and Privacy
13.1. We implement end-to-end encryption (AES256+) for chats and secure data handling for all personal data, including verification data.
13.2. Anonymity is maintained: real names, phone numbers, and emails are never displayed in chats.
13.3. A reporting and blocking system (based on device ID or IP) is available to address violations.

14. Termination
14.1. You may delete your account at any time via App settings, subject to data retention for legal obligations (e.g., GDPR Art. 17, PIPL Art. 47).
14.2. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or applicable laws, with notice where required (e.g., EU consumer laws, DPDPA Sec. 15).
14.3. Upon termination, your access to the App ceases, but provisions on intellectual property, liability, and governing law survive.
15. Limitation of Liability
15.1. To the extent permitted by law, ANONYMOUS FRIEND LLC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to conversation outcomes, data breaches, or service interruptions.
15.2. The App is provided "as is" without warranties, except as required by mandatory consumer laws (e.g., EU Unfair Terms Directive 93/13/EEC, UAE PDPL).
15.3. Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you for App services in the last 12 months, where applicable.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
16.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to conflict of law principles, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR Art. 6, DPDPA Sec. 15, CCPA §1798.145).
16.2. Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be settled via arbitration in Yerevan, Armenia, under the Arbitration Rules of the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, unless local law mandates otherwise (e.g., UAE DIFC-LCIA arbitration, India Arbitration and Conciliation Act).
16.3. EU users may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
16.4. For US users, disputes may be subject to class action waivers where permitted.

18. Miscellaneous
18.1. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
18.2. These Terms are available in English and, where required by law, in local languages (e.g., Arabic for UAE, Chinese for China, Hindi for India).
18.3. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.
18.4. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to affiliates or successors.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, including the incorporated consents (general data, biometric data, marketing) and policies (cookie policy, EULA).
